Summer Newsletter 2025

Practice Building update

As we move into the brighter and busier spring months, we’re pleased to bring you the latest edition of our practice newsletter.

This is designed to keep you informed, supported, and up to date with everything happening at the surgery and within the wider community.

Inside this spring edition, you’ll find a range of helpful information, including important updates about our services, guidance on accessing the right care, and signposting to local and national support services that may benefit you or your family.

We’ll also be sharing seasonal health advice, practice news, and reminders to help you make the most of the care available to you.

Our aim is to ensure you feel informed, confident, and supported when managing your health and wellbeing. Whether you’re looking for advice, need to access services, or simply want to stay updated, we hope you find this newsletter useful and informative.

Missed appointments

We’ve noticed several missed appointments during December - March. If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please cancel in advance so we can offer that time to another patient.

Your cooperation helps us make the best use of our appointment slots and provide timely care to everyone. Thank you for helping us serve you better!

Travel Vaccines

We are happy to see you for travel advice and to provide any NHS travel vaccinations you may require.

Please ensure you complete a travel vaccination form at least 6 weeks before your planned departure. This will be reviewed by our practice nurse.

While we aim to offer this service whenever possible, availability can sometimes be limited. In such cases, you may be advised to contact a pharmacy travel clinic.

Travel forms are available from reception or can be completed online via our website.

Friends and Family Test

We value our patients’ feedback, so a big thank you to everyone who completed our test surveys!

In January, we received a total of 317 responses, February saw 327, and in March we reached 358 — thank you for your continued support.

If you’re visiting the surgery soon, please feel free to complete a test survey. Your feedback helps us review our services and continue striving for improvements, ensuring we provide the best possible patient care.

Did you know

Your body has a built-in “early warning system” for dehydration - your sense of thirst.

By the time you feel thirsty, your body is already slightly dehydrated. That’s why healthcare professionals often recommend drinking fluids regularly throughout the day, especially during illness, hot weather, or exercise.

Mild dehydration can contribute to things like headaches, tiredness, and dizziness, and in some cases may worsen conditions like urinary tract infection or kidney stones.

Don’t wait until you’re thirsty - keep sipping water regularly to stay well!
