NHS Walk-in-Centres are open across the country as part of a wider plan to modernise and improve NHS services, offering more convenience and choice. Staffed by specialist nurses, each centre provides healthcare advice, information and treatment to local residents, shoppers, commuters and visitors. NHS Walk-in Centres are open seven days a week, with no appointment necessary, allowing you to access their services at a time that is convenient for you, complementing the existing services already available.
Services Provided
At Darlington PCT Walk-in Centre you can recieve healthcare advice, information and treatment for:
- Minor ailments;
- Minor cuts and wounds;
- Skin complaints;
- Muscle & joint injuries;
- Men's/women's health problems;
- Emergency contraception;
- Advice on staying healthy;
- Information on local services.
- Phlebotomy (blood testing) service Mon-Fri 08.00am - 10.00am
It also offers additional services, please call in for further information. You don't need to be registered with a GP and you don't have to give your name.
